Wilbur H. (Bur) Boyd Scholarship

To be eligible, a student must:

1). Be a resident of Manatee County for three years at the time of the application.
2). Be considered a U.S. citizen, not a permanent resident alien.
3). Be between the ages of 15 and 25 at the time of application.
4). Be enrolled in an AA, BS, or BAS degree program, pursuing a business curriculum.
5). Have earned and maintained a minimum cumulative 2.0 grade point average.
6). Complete the FASFA form and demonstrate financial need.
7). Be considered a Florida resident for tuition purposes.
8). Be enrolled full-time (9+ hours for health science programs and 12+ semester hours for non-health science programs).
9). Include a statement demonstrating a commitment to helping the community and others, and outlining participation and service in spiritual faith.
10). Include a letter of reference from a prior teacher or spiritual leader (i.e.: pastor, priest, rabbi, etc.). Donor’s preference is for the recipient to be of Christian or Jewish faith.
11). Participate in an online donor meeting or in-person scholarship luncheon on November 2nd, 2022.
12). Update any change of address and/or telephone number as soon as possible by logging on to the SCFF scholarship system and altering the general application.
