O'Brien Quy Scholarship - Transfer

To be eligible, a student must:

1). Have been a resident of either Manatee or Sarasota County for two years prior to the semester for which assistance is sought.
2). Have earned 60 credit hours from the State College of Florida.
3). Be accepted full-time (12+ semester hours) into a program of study leading to a baccalaureate degree at SCF or another accredited four-year university.
4). Be pursuing a degree, preferably in one or more of the following subjects: Education, social science, psychology, history, or environmental studies. (It is the donor’s hope that recipients will choose to become teachers.)
5). Have a minimum cumulative 3.0 grade point average. The award is renewable if the 3.0 GPA is maintained and the application is resubmitted each year.
6). Include two letters of recommendation from non-relatives, including one from a member of the SCF faculty with the application.
7). Write a thank you letter within one week of receiving this email notification to the {{ portfolio.name }} selection committee.
8). Update any change of address and/or telephone number as soon as possible by logging on to the SCFF scholarship system and altering the general application.
