City of Sarasota Firefighters Scholarship

To be eligible a student must: *Be enrolled a minimum of 6 semester hours at SCF. * The degree can be either an Associates or Baccalaureate. *Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. *Must be the child, grandchild or direct descendant (great-grandchild, great-great grandchild, etc.) of either: * a firefighter who is employed by the Sarasota County Fire Department and is a member of the City of Sarasota Firefighters Pension Fund OR *a retired City of Sarasota or Sarasota County Firefighter who is receiving a pension from the city of Sarasota FirefightersPension Fund. *Student must submit a completed FASFA form and demonstrate financial need as determined by the Financial Aid standards.
